Why first-party numbers matter
Every platform dashboard shows you its own slice. Spotify for Artists knows your streams and nothing about the promoter who read your press page for ten minutes. Instagram knows your likes and nothing about the fan who clicked through to your tour dates and bought a ticket.
Your website is the one place all of those people end up, and it answers to you. The visits are counted as your pages are served, the numbers live in your account, and no algorithm change can take them away. We count visits, not people around the internet.

Analytics questions, answered
Is this creepy tracking for my fans?
No. We count visits to your own website and what happens on it. There are no ad pixels, no cross-site profiles, and nothing follows your fans to other sites. Known bots are filtered out so your numbers reflect people.
Who owns my analytics data?
You do. The numbers describe your website and your audience, they live in your account, and paid plans can export them as CSV. Delete your account and the data goes with it.
Will analytics slow my site down?
No. Pages are counted server-side as they are served, and in-page events fire in the background after the page has rendered. Nothing your visitors see waits on analytics.
What do I get on the free plan?
Every section's headline numbers, with a 30-day history: visitors, page views, and streams at a glance. Paid plans add longer history, charts over time, traffic sources, geography, and exports.
Where do the numbers come from?
From your own site. Artistplus serves your pages, so visits are counted at the source rather than reconstructed from a third-party script. Platform dashboards still exist and are still useful. This is the view of the audience that shows up on your turf.
